Les Gets - all year round alpine resort
Les Gets is located on the French-Swiss boarder just one hour's drive from Geneva airport and is within the Haute-Savoie part of the Rhone-Alps region. The village sits in a protected bowl, overlooked by Mont Chery to the north, the slopes of the "Chevannes" on the south and Pras de Lys on the west. From the top of Mont Chery you have clear views of both Mont Blanc and lake Geneva. The village itself has a range of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants offering local savoie food. Les Gets has retained its traditional architecture and provides a genuine, cosy alpine atmosphere.
Winter and summer activities
Les Gets and the surrounding area offers endless activities all year round. In the winter, the skiing options offer enough variety for a whole season because of the immediate access to the Portes du Soleil resorts of France and Switzerland. In the summer, the mountain biking ranges from gentle, family friendly trails through to world class downhill runs. Rafting, paragliding, hot air ballooning, hiking are also easy to find. The 18 hole golf course is stunning, providing snow capped views of Mont Blanc all year round. There are loads of other mountain villages like Samoens, Abondance and Les Lindarets on the door step which are great for day trips in the summer.
